Centralized and Secure Record-Keeping is Key for Virginia Colleges

By now, most colleges and universities have taken steps to form threat assessment teams – groups providing consultation and assistance on campus regarding potentially dangerous situations. The teams investigate a range of possible cases, including threats made by students, employees, faculty members, and others in the community, and should be notified anytime someone in the college observes or learns about a threat of violence or a situation that appears to be threatening.

Check out this recent article featured in Security Products Magazine discussing how several colleges in Virginia have taken advantage of TIPS to help manage and coordinate threat team efforts, saving valuable time and resources, while improving collaboration and information sharing.
